iSAVElives FIRST RESPONDER EDUCATION

National program for the training of First Responders for emergency life’threatening situations. It involves training in 10 thematic modules of CPR – First Aid adapted to COVID-19, and the preparation of users of the innovative application iSaveLives. Recommended for everyone [children, teachers, adults, lifeguards, security forces, health professionals, etc.]. Duration 4 hours through webinar, participation free of charge.

ROBO KIDS SAVE LIVES

ROBO KIDS SAVE LIVES

ROBO KIDS SAVE LIVES, is a pilot training program implemented in collaboration with EDUACT. Through educative robotics, children learn to build and program robots, staying up to date with current technological developments. ROBO KIDS SAVE LIVES pilot program is aiming to create a new generation of people, who will be using elements from all sciences and collaborating with each other while developing solve problems skills, to participate with high demands in the fast-paced digital world with robots that will focus on life, volunteering and human solidarity.

Basic Life Support Seminar, certified by the European Resuscitation Council [ERC]. The training concerns the assessment of a victim who has collapsed, the recognition of heart failure, the call to 166 or 112, the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation [CPR], the use of an Automated External Defibrillator [AED] in an adult or a child, the treatment of a drowning victim, dealing with a foreign body drowning victim and dealing with an unconscious victim. Duration 6 hours, concerns the participation of adults or adolescents over 12 years.

Certification with international validity is issued

Seminar on Basic Child Life Support, certified by the European Resuscitation Council [ERC]. The training concerns assessment of a victim – infant or child – who has collapsed, recognition of heart failure, call to 166 or 112, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation [CPR], use of an Automated External Defibrillator [AED], treatment of drowning, dealing with foreign body airway obstruction and dealing with an unconscious victim. Duration 6 hours, participation is highly recommended for teachers, kindergarten teachers, parents and health professionals.

Basic Life Support Instructor Training Seminar, certified by the European Resuscitation Council [ERC]. The training concerns the preparation of volunteer instructors, in order to participate in KIDS SAVE LIVES training seminars in Greek schools and Greek communities or Basic Life Support seminars [Participants must be certified Basic Life Support providers, within 2 years of their certification]. Duration 8 hours, concerns the participation of adults and young people over 16 years old.

TRAUMA WORKSHOP

TRAUMA WORKSHOP

Pilot seminar in Injury Prevention and Management, with Certificate of Participation from “KIDS SAVE LIVES – Τα Παιδιά Σώζουν Ζωές”. Training concerns the principles of prevention of significant injury of children, adolescents and mainly young people, but also the treatment of injuries based on international principles [bleeding control, immobilization, evaluation, activation of 166-112, airway control, hypothermia control, etc.]. Duration 6 hours, concerns the participation of adults and young people over 10 years old.

ERASMUS+ funded European project for the pre-education of young children aged 6-10 in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation through fun activities. The program is overseen by the Foundation for State Scholarships [IKY] and is implemented in collaboration with European agencies and Institutions in Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Germany. The project material will be available to school children from all over Europe aged 6-10 and their educators without financial burden, from 2023.

KIDS SAVE LIVES CHAMPIONSHIP

Panhellenic Children’s Competition in CPR. Primary and Secondary Education students who have participated in the National education program KIDs SAVE LIVES or the skills workshop KIDs SAVE LIVES, compete in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation skills, claiming significant prizes and awards for themselves but also for their schools [defibrillators, certifications, equipment]. Participation of 2 students from each school is recommended, who will be accompanied by a teacher or parent.

SKILLS WORKSHOP

The purpose of the First Aid Skills workshop “KIDS SAVE LIVES” is the education of students in the 4th to 6th elementary grades, in high school, as well as their teachers, in the prevention and treatment of life-threatening situations. The main objectives of the Laboratory are the promotion of physical and social health, understanding the importance of prevention, of the right response to emergencies, as well as of solidarity and of offering to fellow human beings, with special reference to the value of volunteering, within which the values ​​and ideals of human life are elevated. The program lasts 36 hours (one hour / week) and can be selected by teachers of every specialty of the specific classes (information and educational material through the website of the IEP and the Ministry of Education). The skills workshop is organized and supported by the Hellenic Humanitarian Association “KIDS SAVE LIVES – Τα Παιδιά Σώζουν Ζωές”,  in collaboration with the Hellenic Society of Emergency Prehospital Care, is established by KIDS SAVE LIVES (WHO / ERC: Prof. Bernd Böttiger – Dr Federico Semeraro) and is approved by the IEP and MoEd for all Primary and Secondary Schools of the Country.

The Educational Program KIDS SAVE LIVES – is organized and implemented by the Hellenic Humanitarian Association “KIDS SAVE LIVES – Τα Παιδιά Σώζουν Ζωές”. in collaboration with the Hellenic Society of Emergency PreHospital Care. The purpose of the program is to educate the school community in First Aid according to the scientific directions. The aim is to raise awareness in issues of solidarity and to encourage the application of knowledge that contributes to the protection of health and the quality of life. The program is implemented in the school environment from the 4th grade to the Lyceum, after consultation with the Management. It includes theoretical and practical training in two periods. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all the necessary adjustments were made based on the scientific and State guidelines. In addition, the possibility of modern distance education is provided within the framework of the general instructions of the MoEd. The training methodology is based on student-centered, experiential learning and is carried out by a team of certified volunteer trainers of our institutions. The training program has already trained 70,000 students in about 700 Greek schools, is recommended by KIDS SAVE LIVES (WHO / ERC: Prof. Bernd Böttiger – Dr Federico Semeraro) and is approved by the IEP and MoEd for all schools in the country.
